Senior Network Architect (Observability & Automation) We are seeking a forward-thinking Network Architect to bridge the gap between traditional networking and modern, data-driven operations. You won’t just be drawing diagrams; you’ll be building the telemetry pipelines and automation frameworks that make our global infrastructure self-healing and transparent. If you believe that "if it isn't monitored, it isn't running," and you have the scripting chops to prove it, we want to talk. Key Responsibilities Architectural Strategy: Design and implement robust, scalable network architectures focusing on SD-Access and automated campus environments. Observability & Telemetry: Build end-to-end visibility stacks using gRPC, SNMP, and Streaming Telemetry to extract actionable insights from hardware. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Maintain the "Source of Truth" by integrating NetBox into automated workflows, ensuring the network state always matches the documentation. Orchestration: Lead and be Hands-On in the deployment and optimization of Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) for policy-based automation and assurance. Scripting & Integration: Develop Python-based tools and APIs to glue together disparate systems (e.g., triggering alerts in Slack/PagerDuty based on NetBox data). Technical Requirements Core Networking: Expert-level knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, and EVPN. Product Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with Cisco DNAC (Catalyst Center) and NetBox (including custom scripts and plugins). The Observability Stack: Proficiency in tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or ThousandEyes. Automation/Scripting: High proficiency in Python (Netmiko, NAPALM, Nornir) and working with REST APIs. Data Models: Understanding of YANG models and JSON/YAML data structures. Products: Cisco, Juniper Preferred Qualifications Experience: 10+ years in Network Engineering/Architecture. Certifications: CCNP/CCIE (Enterprise) or DevNet Professional. Mindset: A "DevOps" approach to networking—treating the network as a software product rather than a collection of boxes. Behavoiral Competencies Strong ownership, strategic thinking, and ability to drive long-term improvements. Excellent communication and leadership during high-severity incidents. Ability to manage cross-functional dependencies and influence without authority. High accountability, detail orientation, and ability to operate under pressure.
