Overview At Larimer County Department of Human Services, we strive to be responsive, provide timely resources in partnership with our community so individuals and families are healthy, supported, and safe. We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic staff member to join our Operations and Organizational Development Division as a Program Coordinator.
The Program Coordinator monitors and evaluates the quality of services provided to Department of Human Services. As part of a team of Program Coordinators this individual will coordinate service delivery, ensure contracted provider compliance with contractual and statutory obligations for Human Service Programs.
The typical schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. This is a hybrid position requiring at least one day per week in the office. Remote work requires adequate internet access and workspace; a one-time stipend is provided to support remote work setup.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Managing professional services contracts, including evaluation, negotiation, compliance, and subrecipient monitoring.
- Building and maintaining partnerships with providers and internal teams to support effective service coordination and payment.
- Serving as the contract and service resource for Human Services teams.
- Guiding caseworkers on referrals, resolving complex provider or contract issues, and escalating systemic concerns.
- Monitoring provider performance through utilization review, invoice verification, and site visits.
- Analyzing contract data to support continuous quality improvement.

- Experience managing Human Services contracts, the full contract lifecycle, and federal and state subrecipient monitoring requirements.
- Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with diverse internal teams and community partners.
- Comfort working in multiple data systems and learning new technologies (e.g., Trails, OAA-SYS®, SUDS, contract management systems).
- Familiarity with Child Welfare (Core Services) and Aging and Adult Services programs.
- Proven success identifying and resolving operational or procedural barriers to service delivery.
- Strong de-escalation and mediation skills to address contract or coordination challenges.
- Experience using contract, payment, and financial data to evaluate performance and support data-informed recommendations.
Qualifications All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.
- Three (3) years experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties.
- Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required.
