About the RoleWe are seeking an Agentic Platform Architect to design and govern scalable platforms for autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents, with a strong emphasis on business workflow alignment and reuse. This role requires deep technical expertise and a solid understanding of how enterprise business processes operate, so agent capabilities, tools, and workflows can be designed once and reused consistently across products and domains.
The ideal candidate bridges business intent and technical execution, ensuring agentic systems are modular, composable, and aligned with real operational requirements.
Responsibilities:Agentic Platform & Workflow Architecture- Design end-to-end architectures for agentic AI platforms that align with real-world business workflows and operating models
- Translate business processes and user journeys into reusable agent patterns, tools, and orchestration flows
- Define reference architectures that promote reuse over reinvention across teams and products
Agent & Tool Reuse Strategy- Identify common business capabilities (e.g., research, validation, enrichment, decision support) and drive their implementation as shared agent services or tools
- Establish standards for agent interfaces, contracts, and capabilities to enable composability
- Partner with product and domain teams to prevent fragmented, one-off agent implementations
AI & Agent Frameworks- Leverage and contribute to LexisNexis Unified Agent Platform (UAP)
- Define abstractions for agent roles, policies, memory, planning, and tool usage that support multiple business use cases
- Ensure agents can safely and consistently interact with enterprise systems and APIs
Governance, Safety & Reliability- Embed guardrails for safety, compliance, and responsible AI aligned with business and regulatory requirements
- Design human-in-the-loop and approval mechanisms that map naturally to business decision points
- Ensure observability, auditability, and explainability of agent-driven workflows
Platform Engineering & Enablement- Partner with platform, cloud, and DevOps teams to deliver a self-service agent platform for product teams
- Define CI/CD and lifecycle management for agents, tools, prompts, and workflow logic
- Enable teams to assemble solutions from reusable components rather than building bespoke agents
Business & Technical Leadership- Act as a technical advisor who can engage credibly with engineering, product, and business stakeholders
- Facilitate alignment between business requirements and platform capabilities
- Author architectural guidance, standards, and best practices for agentic systems
Requirements: - 8+ years of experience in software, platform, or systems architecture
- Demonstrated ability to understand and model business workflows, processes, and decision logic
- 3+ years of experience with AI/ML systems, LLMs, or intelligent automation
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency in Python or similar languages
Preferred Qualifications- Experience designing reusable platforms serving multiple business domains
- Background in regulated or complex enterprise environments (legal, financial, healthcare, B2B SaaS)
- Experience with workflow engines, orchestration platforms, or business process automation
- Familiarity with AI observability, evaluation frameworks, and cost/performance optimization
What Success Looks Like- Business-aligned agent architectures that are reused across products and workflows
- Reduced duplication of agent logic and tools across teams
- Faster delivery of agent-powered capabilities through standardized, composable building blocks
- High trust from both technical and business stakeholders
