This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn deeply, work closely with experienced cooks and chefs, and grow within a focused, professional kitchen.
Responsibilities
Execute dishes with precision, consistency, and attention to detail
Participate in daily prep and service across multiple stations as needed
Learn and assist with butchery and fundamental meat fabrication
Work with fresh pasta dough, including hand-sheeting pasta fresca
Support advanced cooking techniques as appropriate to experience level
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards at all times
Collaborate closely with a small, tight-knit kitchen team during service

Emphasis on technique, repetition, and fundamentals
Hands-on exposure to butchery, pasta production, and refined execution

Schedule
Full-time, dinner service focused
Two consecutive days off per week
Two planned one-week closures annually: first week of January and first week of September
Qualifications
Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required for the right candidate
Strong work ethic, curiosity, and attention to detail
Willingness to learn and take direction
Ability to work cleanly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Compensation
Hourly position, based on experience
Overtime paid in accordance with New Jersey labor laws
