Job Title: Box Truck Driver

Salary range: $20-24.00/hour
Position Summary
We are hiring fora small manufacturing company that is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Box Truck Driver / Shipping & Receiving Associate to support our delivery and logistics operations. This position involves driving a 26' box truck with automatic transmission, loading and unloading products, and performing general shipping and receiving duties. The ideal candidate has a clean driving record, is flexible, able to multitask, and comfortable with hands-on work.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Delivery
- Operate a 26' box truck (automatic transmission) to deliver products to clients or job sites
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe truck
- Loading & Unloading
- Load and unload products, including cabinets and other large items
- Wrap and secure cabinets or other goods for transport to prevent damage
- Ensure accurate counts and condition of items during loading and unloading
- Accurately process any required documentation
Shipping & Receiving Support
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming/outgoing shipments
- Help maintain accurate inventory records for shipped and received goods
- Perform other shipping/receiving tasks as needed
General Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of truck and warehouse area
- Report any accidents, damage, or issues promptly to management
- Adapt to schedule changes or additional duties as business needs arise
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (no moving violations)
- Ability to operate a 26' box truck with automatic transmission safely
- Physical ability to lift, load, and unload heavy items
- Strong multitasking skills and flexibility to handle various duties
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years previous experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle
- Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
- Familiarity with basic inventory management
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and carry heavy items safely
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to climb, bend, and reach while loading/unloading
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime or adjusted schedules as needed
