About the roleWe are seeking a high-motivated Buyer to support critical procurement activities across key programs. You will manage suppliers, execute purchase orders, and ensure on-time delivery of critical materials and services required to support engineering and manufacturing. What you'll do- Own purchase order execution for production and prototype materials, tools, and equipment
- Track order status and proactively resolve delivery, quality, and pricing issues
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing to identify best-fit suppliers and sourcing strategies
- Support cost reduction and supply chain optimization initiatives
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with commercial terms and agreements
- Analyze supplier and procurement data to identify risks and opportunities
- Own and manage production work orders and downstream issue resolution with receiving, finance, and accounting
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field
- 2+ years of supply chain experience, including technical procurement
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and prioritize in a dynamic, deadline-driven setting
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
US Salary Range
$85,000 - $115,000

On-Site in Clarksburg, MD - 5 Days / week
The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra's overall compensation package. In addition to base salary and equity, Forterra offers competitive benefits for full-time employees including:
