OverviewThe Technology Vendor Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the vendor management operations for the central IT portfolio of vendors. This includes working closely with many cross-functional teams and units (e.g. Procurement, Legal, IT, and Finance) to provide guidance and input on technology vendor management items (e.g. negotiations, risk management, contract management, etc). This position will have responsibility for the vendor management lifecycle process and be a key member of the IT Finance team. The Technology Vendor Manager will also work to monitor and improve contract management, relationship management, risk management, and performance management with the IT vendors.
ResponsibilitiesTechnology Vendor Management:
- Create, modify, and maintain the vendor management processes
- Lead the vendor classification process
- Lead the development of the technology vendor management strategy
- Coordinate risk management activities (measuring, monitoring, managing, and reporting)
- Participate in the review process of invoices to ensure they align with the agreed vendor terms and conditions
- Create and maintain the vendor management documentation, including vendor tracking, analytics, performance management tools (scorecards and dashboards)
- Collect detailed information to create reports and key vendor data for stakeholders on vendor performance, risk, and relationships
- Analyze and create reports on critical vendors' financials, business continuity, and corporate and regulatory compliance
Financial Management
- Participate in the management of the DocuSign license and work closely with the OIT department that is responsible for managing the tool
- Work closely with the central IT finance team to ensure alignment with upcoming contract renewals and new purchases
- Work on other special projects and assignments as needed.
Qualifications- 5+ years of vendor management experience (e.g Microsoft, HPE Networking, Salesforce)
- Excellent customer service skills and significant work experience in customer-based setting
- Substantial experience using MS Office Suite software, especially Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with SharePoint and Peoplesoft strongly preferred
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
