Position SummaryPrecision Grading & Sitework is seeking an experienced Dirt and Base Foreman to manage and oversee dirt, base, and utility projects within the Commercial Civil markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully running projects on schedule and on budget while ensuring a safe and productive work environment. Job Responsibilities & Related Skills- Safety Leadership: Prioritize health and safety on-site, cultivating a culture of positivity and accountability within the team.
- Project Management: Plan, manage, and coordinate the completion of projects with attention to quality, adherence to schedules, and budget management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with management, estimating teams to ensure effective crew configurations, production rates, and resource availability.
- Goal Setting: Develop and communicate production goals and specifications to maximize worker effectiveness and maintain profitability.
- Communication: Maintain excellent communication with project stakeholders, including superintendents and pre-construction teams, to achieve project objectives.
- Budget Management: Oversee project labor budgets, daily master schedules, and coordinate necessary adjustments due to work interferences.
- Scheduling Oversight: Provide supervision regarding manpower and equipment scheduling, ensuring optimal deployment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to safety and quality programs as per company and regulatory standards to protect personnel, equipment, and job sites.
- Lead by Example: Promote Precision Grading & Sitework's high standards and reputation for excellence in all aspects of work.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, along with knowledge in scheduling, cost, and quality control practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven team player with excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
Work Environment & Physical Demands- Environment: Frequently involves exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and high noise levels.
- Conditions: Ability to work in inclement weather and extreme outdoor conditions.
- Physical Requirements & Demands: lifting heavy objects, prolonged standing/walking, and strenuous labor.
- Stamina: Requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina for effective execution of duties.
