Department Overview The PB Systems Team consists of 9 Epic analysts certified in Epic Resolute Professional Billing that work with key operational leaders to support OHSU and our Community Partners.
This position is responsible for analysis, system design, development and support of computer applications and systems, along with workflows related to the Epic Resolute Professional Billing system and other applicable software. The position works with leadership/customers to implement related projects.
Function/Duties of Position - Maintains pertinent systems requirements to support Professional Billing workflows and reporting, ensuring data integrity and validity, with a focus on reporting hierarchy research, build, and validation.
- Balances Epic transactions with outside systems reporting tools on a daily basis.
- Collaborates with departmental administrative personnel, reporting team, operations team/leadership and RCBAs to provide accurate reporting according to departmental needs.
- Designs, develops, and documents modifications to existing applications/systems or operational workflows and processes; formulates recommendation/provides options for new or replacement software/applications as appropriate.
- Acts as back up support to and partners with other team analysts during absences/unavailability/projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications - Master's degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and two years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and four years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
- Associate's degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and five years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
- Six years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate's degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
- Strong background in healthcare billing and reporting applications, including Epic Resolute Professional Billing application.
- Working knowledge of Professional Billing Operations.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting workflows and requirements.
