Group/Division With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The Optical Metrology Division products are used for optical overlay metrology. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer with 10+ years of hands‑on experience in both
Manual and Automated Software Testing. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter, fast learner, and capable of navigating dynamic schedules, evolving requirements, and cross‑functional collaboration within a complex semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of end‑to‑end testing activities for key project features as an individual contributor.
- Perform a balanced mix of Manual and Automation testing for software and hardware-integrated products.
- Lead test planning, test strategy execution, and collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, algorithms, systems, hardware, marketing, applications, and manufacturing teams.
- Develop high‑quality Automated Test Scripts using C#/.NET for Windows desktop and application environments.
- Design comprehensive test cases based on strong testing principles and engineering methodologies.
- Mentor junior team members; provide guidance, training, and support for improving overall test maturity.
- Participate actively in the product development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, test design, execution, defect reproduction (field/internal), and regression testing.
- Work with global teams across multiple time zones for integrated software/hardware testing and deployments.
- Support deployment validation (onsite/remote) and contribute to root‑cause analysis of complex defects.
- Apply industry best practices to ensure delivery of robust, high‑quality software products.
Minimum Qualifications- BE/B.Tech/MS/MCA/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- 10+ years of strong software testing experience across manual and automation domains.
- Strong expertise in Test Engineering, Test Case Design, and QA fundamentals.
- Hands‑on experience in C#/.NET automation for Windows desktop or application testing (preferred).
- Solid understanding of SDLC, software engineering concepts, and system-level thinking.
- Excellent analytical skills and problem‑solving ability.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive quality focus across teams.
- Willingness to travel to Denmark, USA and other customer places on short assignments.
