The OpportunityAs our Senior Patent Attorney, you'll play a central role in advancing and safeguarding Logitech's IP. You'll be a bridge between world-class inventors, product creators, and our global legal organization-helping us develop a patent portfolio as dynamic and diverse as our products.
- Location: Lausanne, Switzerland (Hybrid; 2-3 days/week onsite)
- Reports to: Global Head of Intellectual Property (California, USA)
- Collaborates with: A talented in-house Legal team in Lausanne, plus colleagues worldwide
Your Contribution- Partner with business and technical engineering teams throughout Logitech to identify, protect, and grow our IP-especially in emerging fields like artificial intelligence and future-forward consumer electronics.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize the reach and resilience of our patent portfolio, collaborating with both internal and external counsel.
- Build trusted relationships with inventors and cross-functional stakeholders; demystify IP concepts and make protecting innovation part of our culture.
- Go beyond patents-work with our Trademark team, contribute to M&A diligence, support freedom-to-operate (FTO) reviews, evaluate open source implications, and assist with global enforcement.
- Share your expertise, energy, and insights to strengthen our IP strategy across regions and product categories.
What Sets You Up for Success- Experience: 8+ years in both law firm and in-house environments, owning strategic IP matters and bringing clarity and transparency to the business.
- Breadth: Direct experience with M&A diligence, licensing and contracts, open source review, and all aspects of IP enforcement.
- Global Mindset: Proven ability to engage with inventors worldwide; knowledge of foreign filing license rules in the US, China, and India.
- Patents & More: Experience with design patents across US, China, and Europe; hands-on with trademarks is a plus.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Registered as a European, Swiss, or US Patent Attorney.
- Language: Fluent English is essential; French is an advantage.
- Personal Qualities: Clear communicator, unafraid to jump in and offer help wherever it's needed. Deep curiosity and passion for technology-especially consumer electronics and emerging tech.
- Travel: Willingness for periodic international travel (to the US and China).
