About this Role:
As the Assistant Human Resources Chief, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing, person-centered organization that enables OTSI to deliver on its mission for CalHHS and the millions of Californians it supports. You will assist with delivering modern, responsive HR services that strengthen the workforce, support leaders, and align strategies with OTSI's operational and strategic priorities.
In this role, you will assist with driving results through the delivery of a streamlined and compliant HR operations, a positive employee experience, and HR programs/services that enable managers and team members to perform at their best. You will help translate strategic concepts into action by implementing innovative solutions as they relate to workforce planning, hiring, performance management, benefits, and payroll-ensuring these services are equitable and delivered with consistency, quality, and a strong customer focus.
You will assist with leading and developing a team of HR professionals by fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Working closely with executive leadership, managers, control agencies, and external partners, you will help resolve complex workforce challenges, improve processes, and implement innovative solutions that support a growing and evolving organization.
This position works under the general direction of the Chief, Human Resources (Manager II) and is responsible for the participating in, influencing, and/or the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. As a result, this position is subject to the CalHHS Conflict of Interest Code. The selected candidate is required to file a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) when assuming office, annually while in office, and upon leaving office.
