About the Company
A growing organization in the construction sector is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support day?to?day accounting operations. The ideal candidate is detail?oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast?paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Collect vendor invoices from various sources and prepare them for processing.
- Enter, sort, code, match, and file invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve purchase order discrepancies.
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account activity.
- Assist with month?end close, including accruals and other required entries.
- Prepare documentation needed for audits and tax reporting.
- Process and reconcile expense reports and corporate credit card activity.
- Calculate and report sales tax obligations based on paid invoices.
- Communicate with vendors and respond to inquiries regarding payments.
- Reconcile vendor accounts to ensure accuracy and current status.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of accounts payable experience.
- Proficiency with data entry/processing systems; experience with Kofax preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload in a fast?paced environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and problem?solving skills.
