Mission Valley Veterinary Hospital
is seeking an experienced
Registered Veterinary Technician
to join our collaborative team in central Fremont. You'll work with dogs, cats, birds, and small mammals in a supportive environment where mentorship, teamwork, and high-quality patient care are top priorities.
This role is ideal for an RVT who wants to fully use their skill set in both outpatient and surgical settings while building meaningful relationships with clients and patients.
What You'll Do
Support doctors during exams, outpatient visits, surgery, and dentistry
Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia
Perform dental prophies, radiographs, and charting
Place IV catheters, perform venipuncture and cystocentesis, and administer injections
Run in-house lab work, including cytology
Room patients and manage technician appointments efficiently
Provide thoughtful client education with professionalism and compassion
Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed for rotating Saturdays.
Full-time benefits and compensation**:
Compensation:
$35-38 per hour, for each hour worked*
Bonus package:
$2000
CE allowance:
up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
Current Registered Veterinary Technician license in the state of California
Strong skills in anesthesia, dentistry, and patient care
A team-oriented technician who values quality medicine and collaboration
Pocket pet and avian handling experience is highly desired!
