The Accounting Administrator is responsible for processing travel requests, travel claims as well as supporting entry-level financial operations. This role ensures compliance with company policies, maintains accurate records, and provides administrative support to the accounting and travel management teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Processing, recording, and reporting of travel requests and travel claims.
- Audit travel and expense submissions for compliance in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 31.205-45, the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), and the Corps Solutions Travel Policy.
- Maintain current knowledge of the JTR and GSA established per diem rates.
- Maintaining and organizing all travel records
- Provide support to and field questions from employees with respect to the status of travel reports, expense reports and payments thereof.
- Review vendor invoices and expense reports for appropriate documentation and approval prior to processing.
- Process invoices and expenses in an accurate and timely manner.
- Enter and upload invoices into the accounting software.
- Assist with month-end close activities.
- Assist in the year-end close out by providing supporting documents and any other calculations requested.
- Participating in business meetings, events, and company functions to support management team.
- Enter financial transactions into the accounting system and maintain organized records.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described
EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field, preferred.
EXPERIENCE - Experience working with government contracts and/or military services preferred.

- Strong communication skills with an effective customer-service orientation.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Windows and MS Office, especially MS Excel.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Accounting Systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS - Capacity to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus in an office environment.
- Ability to climb stairs, as the building does not have elevator access.
