Job Description:Position: Director of Finished Goods

JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Director of Finished goods is accountable for
1) the safe, compliant, and reliable manufacturing of finished goods and
2) ensuring standardization and alignment with the other major finish goods joints manufacturing sites (Suzhou, Raynham, and Costa Rica).
Main Duties/Responsibilities:- Ensure finished goods are manufactured in accordance with the appropriate Corporate, Franchise, Statutory, Legislative and Regulatory, HSE and Quality standards.
- Responsible for creating a culture of development and inclusion, to retain talent and develop a robust succession plan throughout the organization in alignment with the credo.
- Build and maintain an environment of innovative continuous improvement, focusing on quality, cost reduction, process development and supply.
- Directly manage FG manufacturing budget including direct labour, consumables, scrap etc.
- As part of the Cork Site Leadership Team (SLT) set site strategy and cross functional priorities.
- Connect and partner with the finished goods manufacturing sites, setting Joints wide strategies and ensuring alignment.
- Proactive engage with Value Stream Leaders for Hip/Knee/Shoulder as required through standard work, projects, or escalations.
- Represents manufacturing in setting NPI standards for launches, ensuring availability of resources and Finished Goods product to meet agreed launch plans.
- Develop and implement the Operational strategic imperatives in-line with the Joints & Site strategic objectives.
- Connect / participate in / lead Campus Ireland initiatives as required.
SUMMARY:
Advises on key organizational standards in a matrix environment, assuming accountability for meaningful career development conversations and regular coaching and feedback. Administers the internal Plant Management business plan and develops processes and procedures that support business goals. Monitors and progresses initiatives and oversees timelines, approvals, and communication plans. Contributes to the planning of strategic initiatives and serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Directs Managers and/or senior individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for meaningful career development conversations and regular coaching and feedback.
Contributes to planning and administration of company programs and initiatives that promote the Plant Management area's agenda.
Facilitates the vision, objectives, and supply chain roadmaps for Plant Management platforms, aligning Supply Chain business and technology strategies with strategic demand to produce leading-edge deliverables.
Serves as a strategic partner with supply-chain Plant Management business teams to engage third-party partners to provide successful end-to-end supply chain solutions tailored to customer needs.
Communicates strategically to highlight initiatives, activities, and achievements that bring positive visibility to the organization.
Responsible for managing operational aspects of their teams (e.g., budget, performance, and compliance), as well as implementing workforce and succession plans to meet business needs.
Proactively creates a purpose driven environment by aligning Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives with the strategies and goals of the team and enterprise.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Essential:
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent degree required
• A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience including five years of direct manufacturing experience
• A minimum of five years of people management experience
• Track record of building successful teams, attracting, and developing talent, motivating them through change.
Desirable:
• Production Management experience within a Healthcare/Medical Devices/Regulated industry
• Master's in business administration / production / engineering / etc
• Formal certification in lean, 6σ, or process excellence methodologies
