Schedule & Setting
- 40 hours per week
- Alternating weekly schedule:
- 1 week inpatient service with call
- 1 week outpatient transplant clinic
- Inpatient: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM + call
- Outpatient: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Patient Volume
- Inpatient: Average 8 patients
- Clinic: Average 15 patients
Clinical Responsibilities
- Management of lung transplant patients
- Bronchoscopy
- Thoracentesis
- Chest tube placement
Practice Model
- Work directly with the Medical Director of the transplant program
- Multidisciplinary lung transplant team environment
- Pulmonary/Critical Care fellows rotate through transplant service
Advanced Practice Support
- APP support available
- Collaborative/shared responsibility model
EMR
- EPIC (clinic and hospital utilize the same system)
Requirements
- Completed lung transplant fellowship or transplant training
