Job OverviewLevel Crane Systems is looking for a skilled and safety-focused Field Service Crane Technician to join our Field Operations team. Based out of our Orange County headquarters, this full-time role involves servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining overhead crane systems at customer sites. With a strong electrical and mechanical foundation, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of critical lifting equipment—while working independently and representing the company on the front lines.

Key Responsibilities
Perform field service work on overhead crane systems, including diagnostics, inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenanceRespond to trouble calls and emergencies with a focus on minimizing customer downtimeTroubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, controls, radio systems, and mechanical componentsConduct safety checks and maintain compliance with OSHA and company protocolsAssist with crane installations and commissioning of new equipmentProvide accurate documentation, including service tickets, time logs, and job-related expensesCommunicate with customers on equipment condition, repair recommendations, and service completionMaintain and care for assigned tools, vehicle, and service equipmentSupport sales efforts by identifying potential opportunities for service contracts, spare parts, or upgradesParticipate in ongoing training to stay current on products and industry standardsContribute to safety, quality, and process improvement discussions during team meetingsRepresent Level Crane Systems with professionalism and integrity at all times
Qualifications
Required:High school diploma or GED5+ years of electrical and mechanical service experience (required)Strong working knowledge of electrical circuits, control systems, and overhead crane mechanismsValid driver’s license with clean driving recordProficiency reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manualsCommitment to safety with ability to follow OSHA regulationsExcellent time management, documentation, and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple service jobsWillingness to travel to job sites across Southern CaliforniaPreferred:Cal-OSHA CertificationTechnical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical systemsExperience with scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklift operations
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasksComfortable working at heights and in confined spacesAble to work in varying weather conditions and stand for long periods
