As a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) here at Delta Dental of Washington, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, engineers, and testers to define requirements, surface risks, and guide solutions across the full project lifecycle.

The pay range for this position in Western Washington varies between $71,100.00 - $108,900.00, and for Eastern Washington varies between $63,444.00 - $97,174.00. Dental of Washington intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

- Lead business requirements gathering and documentation for products or corporate projects by translating business needs into clear functional specifications, supported by data analysis, process mapping, and concise system documentation.
- Partner with business, product, engineering, and vendor teams to ensure requirements are well understood, feasible, and implemented as intended throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Identify risks, gaps, and conflicts early by clarifying assumptions, assessing impacts, and proposing solution options before issues escalate.
- Connect business objectives to system and technical decisions, ensuring solutions align with intended outcomes, architectural standards, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Support end-to-end delivery by participating in design reviews, backlog refinement, testing support, and implementation readiness activities.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying patterns, inefficiencies, and recurring pain points, and recommending enhancements to processes, systems, and data quality.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by balancing business priorities, user needs, and technical tradeoffs.

- Strong expertise in eliciting, documenting, validating, and managing business and technical requirements for new or enhanced system functionality.
- Ability to anticipate downstream impacts across systems, data, workflows, and user groups, and be able to recommend solutions that mitigate them while aligning with enterprise architecture and long-term business goals.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, facilitate alignment, and drive clear decisions in environments with ambiguity, competing priorities, or complex tradeoffs.
- Experience working across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) using multiple delivery methodologies; comfortable collaborating with developers, testers, architects, and vendors.
- Familiarity with usability standards and user-centered design principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to distill complex information into clear insights.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate accountability with strong follow-through.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint as well as other project management tools such as Smartsheet and Azure Dev Ops.
- Strong business acumen and a continuous-improvement mindset; able to recommend practical, value-driven solutions.
- Experience in healthcare administration or a regulated industry is a plus but not required.
Travel: Occasional travel may be required.

- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Must utilize visual acuity, speech, hearing, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity to operate a computer and office equipment.
