Falk Laboratory School, a coeducational K-8 school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, seeks one full-time
School Nurse to care for students of all ages. The Falk School Nurse provides episodic medical care to students of all ages, facilitates positive student responses to normal development; promotes health and safety within the school; intervenes to address potential health problems through education and strategic planning; and actively collaborates with faculty and school leadership.
This position will start August 15, 2026.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) with at least 5 years relevant experience, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with at least 3 years relevant experience required
Experience in a school or similar setting caring for children's medical needs preferred
Knowledge of culturally responsive health practices
Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures preferred

Job Summary
Facilitates and provides medical care for children and occasional adults. Provides input on policies and conducts annual health screenings. Maintains confidential student records and care documentation, ensures complete immunization records for all incoming students, and facilitates health-related classes. Performs supply and inventory functions.
Essential Functions
Provides episodic care and first aid to students and administers medication
Organizes and conducts health screenings; prepares reports; maintains student health records
Mentors School of Nursing students taking part in clinical rotations
Facilitates health and safety meetings; schedules and organizes emergency drills
Prepares and teaches health-related lessons
Maintains inventory of supplies; reviews school policies, records and other information at least annually and updates as necessary
Other duties as assigned
