Proposal Project Manager (Hybrid) Office of Sponsored Programs - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26000711)
The Proposal Project Manager is an integral part of the Office of Sponsored Programs Research Concierge Program team, who supports faculty in applying for multi/interdisciplinary proposals for external funding opportunities that align with the goals of the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Research (Pitt Research). The incumbent will work collaboratively within OSP as well as with Pitt Research leadership, faculty, and research teams to provide project management guidance for large-scale, complex, strategic, and collaborative proposal efforts, as well as small and mid-size proposals. This position will also help build teams for funding proposal collaboration and partnership.
The Proposal Project Manager must have experience in research (research development, proposal development, research administration, or conducting research). The candidate will understand sponsored program funding and have the necessary communication skills to address a broad range of stakeholders within and outside of academic environments. Experience working with teams to develop complex multi-investigator proposals is preferred. Experience working at a higher education institution is preferred. A bachelor's degree is required. An advanced degree is preferred.

Job Summary

Provides leadership, technical direction, coordination, and expertise across projects. Analyzes progress and/or performance and prepares reports. Ensures compliance with budget, scope, timeline, and regulations. Assists with external communications.

This position requires interpersonal communication skills, analytical and organizational skills, and computer software proficiency. Must be able to interact with both internal and external project-related and associated personnel in a professional capacity.
