DESCRIPTION: Visual Sound is seeking an experienced
Lead AV Installation Technician for our Baltimore, MD office. This role entails overseeing a team of AV technicians, providing training and guidance on job sites, ensuring adherence to safety and quality guidelines, troubleshooting technical issues, and serving as the primary on-site contact for our valued customers.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in building racks, installing projects, screens, flat panels, and other AV equipment such as cabling, fiber optics, racking and mounting AV devices, and control units.

Responsibilities: - Responsible for installing audio video products and components as specified by blueprints and specifications.
- Pulling cable, installing connectors, projector mounting/hanging (ceiling mounts) and metal fabrication.
- Assisting with mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring.
- Loading and configuration of Crestron control systems.
- Assisting and performing installation tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner.
- Loading and troubleshooting Crestron, Extron, AMX and Biamp control systems required. (no programming)
- Installing and configuring Dolby audio systems highly preferred.
- Experience with Cisco networking including routers, switches, and configuring wireless networks.
- Ability to read CAD generated prints, building blueprints, and riser diagrams.
- Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting on multiple devices.
- Possess top-notch communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: - Must be able to read and write at basic English proficiency.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Ability to lift 50-60 lbs., climb, crawl, and raise items overhead.
- Ability to perform some out of town travel as necessary.
- Possess an Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; OR at least (2) years of experience in equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of (3) years installing audio visual equipment including video panels, speakers, racks, microphones, A/V cabling and wiring.
- AVIXA CTS and/or CTS-I certification preferred.
