Job DetailsDescriptionSummary - The Repair Board Tester inspects and tests, advanced avionics circuit boards and subassemblies using various test equipment and test solutions to restore the component to serviceable condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Apply electronic theory to support the testing of avionics circuit boards and subassemblies in a shop environment.
- Work as part of a team to ensure the repair station meets the company's quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Follow procedures and understand and interpret schematics and technical data.
- Test electrical, thermal, and mechanical characteristics of integrated circuits, components, and sub-components.
- Use company software to record activities.
- Use the company Business Management System (BMS) to apply company and department processes effectively.
- Demonstrate an understanding of industry terminology.

Minimum Qualifications An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience- A High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of experience in electronics or an equivalent is a plus
- An associate degree or higher in electronics technology, avionics technology, or similar is a plus.
- Technical certification in electronics is a plus.
- The ability follow repair instructions is required.
- IPC-600 qualification is a plus.
- Experience soldering integrated circuits is a plus.
- Experience working in a Part 145 repair station is a plus.
- Familiarity with Part 145 repair station Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations is a plus.
- Experience with electrostatic discharge best practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with AS-9100 is a plus.
- Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is a plus.
Computer Skills- Proficient with a personal computer and the ability to type. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. A strong aptitude for acquiring competency in new tools is essential.
Language Skills- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret requirements and documents. Strong written and oral communication skills, including English fluency.
Mathematical Skills- Ability to apply basic concepts and applications of arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to think critically to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information exists.
