Position OverviewThe
Receptionist / Security Assistant serves as the primary front-desk presence for Aurex headquarters and is the first point of contact for visitors, callers, and external partners. This role is responsible for delivering a professional, welcoming reception experience while ensuring compliance with established visitor management and security procedures.
This position plays a key role in daily headquarters operations and provides exposure to security and facility operations, offering growth opportunities into future security support roles.
Primary ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Visitor Management - Greet and check in all visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Verify visitor information, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
- Ensure visitors remain in the lobby until met and escorted by authorized personnel.
- Communicate visitor arrivals promptly to internal staff.
Phone & Communications - Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming external calls to headquarters.
- Answer, screen, and route calls accurately and professionally.
- Provide general information and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel.
Administrative Support - Receive, organize, and distribute incoming mail to designated recipients, ensuring it is handled appropriately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby environment.
- Assist the security team with administrative tasks such as updating logs, coordinating badge-related activities, and supporting day-to-day operations.
Security & Emergency Support - Follow established security procedures related to visitor access and escort requirements.
- Serve as a communication point during emergencies, evacuations, or other facility incidents, following established protocols.
Required Qualifications - U.S. Citizenship required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a front-facing role.
- Ability to follow established procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
- Ability to work onsite during standard daytime business hours.
- 2+ years of experience in a professional office or security-sensitive environment (e.g., defense, aerospace, or law enforcement).
Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience in a receptionist, front-desk, or administrative support role.

- Interest in developing skills related to security, facilities, or operations support.
