Job Purpose The Test Technician is responsible for testing, validating, and troubleshooting rack-mounted computing, server, and data storage systems. This role supports production, quality, and customer operations by executing manual, semi-automated, and automated test procedures, analyzing log files and scripts, and providing technical assistance to customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities: - Perform functional, system-level, and final testing on electronic systems and sub-assemblies.
- Work with manual, semi-automated, and automated test setups and scripts.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve hardware and configuration-related issues.
- Interpret log files and test results to identify system faults.
- Document test results and deviations in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide technical support to customers in collaboration with internal teams.
- Contribute to improvements in test processes and quality assurance.
Knowledge and Skills: - Experience testing electronic systems or IT hardware.
- Familiarity with server, storage, or rack-mounted systems.
- Ability to read and understand log files, error messages, and basic scripts.
- Basic knowledge of hardware, firmware, and system configurations.
- Detail-oriented, structured, and solution-focused approach.
- Strong communication skills in a technical environment.
- Ability to clearly communicate and convey necessary information.
- Ability to lift and move loads up to 20 kg.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to recognize and process important details accurately and efficiently.
- Good command of the English language, both written and verbal, is required.
- Dutch language skills are a plus.
Education and Experience: - MBO diploma or equivalent, preferably in a technical field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or relevant IPC certifications are a plus.
