About the Position
The company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and engineering of complex HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and institutional projects. This role blends hands-on technical leadership
with mentorship and cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading HVAC and plumbing system design for complex commercial and institutional projects
- Developing conceptual and detailed engineering solutions aligned with performance, cost, and sustainability goals
- Collaborating closely with engineering and project management teams from design through construction
- Mentoring junior engineers and designers; reviewing calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Conducting site visits and providing engineering support during construction
- Ensuring designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project budgets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7+ years
of mechanical/HVAC design experience with a consulting engineering firm or MEP contractor
- Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC design software (e.g., Trane TRACE 700 or newer)
- Deep understanding of building mechanical systems, design standards, and construction methods
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 25%
