Are you ready for lift-off?
Position Summary:As a summer intern, you'll work alongside senior developers to help build new applications, maintain existing systems, and investigate and resolve both minor and major issues in production-quality software. As you ramp up, you'll take on increasing responsibility, and toward the end of the internship you'll have the opportunity to own a larger, capstone-style project. You'll contribute to small but meaningful projects that require you to quickly become familiar with our technology stack, domain-specific terminology, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
This is hands-on work in a real production environment - not shadowing or busy work.
You'll put your classroom training into practice by solving real-world problems where every line of code matters and where our software can literally help save lives once deployed. You should be comfortable learning new technologies quickly and be eager to dive deep into telecommunications protocols. During the internship, you'll gain exposure to tools and technologies such as Splunk, SIP traffic generators, automation frameworks, and source code management using GitLab.
You'll work as part of a dynamic team, reporting to the Director/Senior Manager of E911 Software Development, and collaborating closely with both development and operations teams at the Comtech Seattle office.
