A full-time or part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a special education cooperative serving multiple school districts in and around Emporia, Kansas. This role supports students across various elementary schools within the cooperative, including Emporia SD, North Lyon County, South Lyon County, Chase County, Madison, Hamilton, and Morris County. Candidates should live within about an hour's commute of Emporia to accommodate the onsite requirement.
Key responsibilities include providing speech and language therapy to students, typically working with 10-12 students per day or serving 50-55 students weekly. The role involves collaborating with school staff and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Kansas State Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in elementary settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, parents, and educators
- Ability to work independently while managing flexible hours to meet student needs
Location: Multiple school districts within approximately one hour of Emporia, KS; onsite presence required
