M-F 8-Hour Shifts
What You Will Do
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, sweeping and mopping as necessary to remove spills, while complying with all company safety policies.
Use spectrophotometer (color computer) to prepare ink formulations and weigh out 100 gram samples. Using the proper tools, rollout a sample of the color and adjust as necessary to achieve proper color. Catalog and file samples.
Prepare batches of ink (25 to 2000 lbs) for production runs using formulations, adjusting the batch as necessary to achieve the proper shade and hue, at a printable viscosity and PH level. Operate the ink dispenser and mixers; strains batches and labels products.
Deliver inks to the press area, inventory returns of inks from completed print runs, using carts or barrel lifters.
Maintain an inventory of ink additives and chemicals, and reorder as necessary to maintain proper inventory levels.
Maintain a perpetual inventory of base inks and orders and receives additional materials to keep that balanced.
Perform a monthly inventory of returned ink and work to keep that inventory at a minimum.
As needed, operate the Beckart Pretreatment equipment and prepare batches of wastewater to be pretreated and filtered prior to discharge to the sewer system. Add chemicals, agitate and mix, verify the PH levels. Dump and clean filters and transport waste to the designated disposal area.
Mount printing plates, as needed.
What you Bring
Ability to work independently and confidently in a fast-paced environment—someone who takes initiative and manages their own workflow effectively.
Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving, with the ability to quickly assess issues and make sound decisions on the floor.
Physically capable of standing, bending, walking, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs as part of daily work.
Flexible team player willing to assist with additional tasks to support smooth plant operations.
Candidates must be able to accurately distinguish colors necessary to perform essential job duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be flexible for overtime, as overtime is mandatory during busy season.
Must have a strong track record of good attendance.
