Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a K-12 school located in Atmore, AL, supporting students from PK through 6th grade. This contract role offers the opportunity to work within multiple school environments, providing comprehensive speech services and collaborating with educators and families. Please note that interview scheduling is currently delayed as discussions with district contacts are ongoing, with updates expected by January 22, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide speech and language evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy services to students from PK to 6th grade
Develop individualized treatment plans and track student progress
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication needs
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations
Assist other SLPs as needed and manage a caseload of approximately 13 students, which may increase during the school year

Qualifications and Experience:

Must hold a valid Professional License or Educator Certification in Speech Language Pathology
Experience working with children ages 3 to 12 in a school setting preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students and work collaboratively with school staff
Proven ability to develop and implement effective therapeutic interventions for diverse student populations
