M.E.P. Coordinator
As our M.E.P. Coordinator, you will lead the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems on construction projects from preconstruction through construction and postconstruction. You will also bring expertise in building controls and the commissioning processes to ensure system performance and project readiness.
Successful team members are highly knowledgeable in constructability and compliance, skilled in identifying and solving complex MEP challenges, and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, organization, communication, and leadership throughout every phase of the project.
Your Skills- MEP Systems Oversight & Technical Expertise - Lead the resolution of design, code, and constructability issues while ensuring all MEP systems meet required standards and sustainability goals.
- Coordination & Communication - Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders and lead coordination meetings to align expectations and resolve MEP issues.
- BIM, Scheduling & Planning - Oversee BIM coordination and provide accurate MEP schedule input to keep modeling, planning, inspections, and commissioning aligned with the overall project timeline.
- Procurement, Submittals & Field Oversight - Manage submittals, equipment procurement, and field installation to ensure MEP work aligns with approved drawings and project requirements.
- Cost, Quality & Risk Management - Monitor MEP costs, implement quality control processes, and proactively manage risks related to code compliance, safety, and system performance.
- Commissioning, Closeout & Continuous Improvement - Lead commissioning and closeout of MEP systems while improving coordination processes and sharing lessons learned across project teams.
- Process Development & Training - Develop and refine MEP coordination workflows and provide training to elevate team knowledge and performance.
- Safety & Risk Management - Enforce safety standards and identify risks related to MEP systems, codes, and project conditions to ensure safe and compliant installation.
Your Background- Proven construction management experience, specifically in HVAC, electrical, fire protection and plumbing systems.
- A degree in construction management, engineering technology or similar is a plus.
