Independent Verification and Validation Engineer
for a 9-12 month contract assignment. Candidates
MUST have experience with nuclear digital I&C independent verification and validation.
NOTE:
This is a 40 hour/week contract (Staff Augmentation) position expected to last through the end of 2026. Priority preference is onsite at our Houston, TX office.
Remote work may be considered
for highly experienced individuals with the understanding of frequent (up to 25%) travel to Houston.
W2 Hourly Compensation:

Position Summary:
This role will assist in maintaining the V&V program and provide vendor oversight for V&V work on safety-related digital instrumentation and control (I&C) in accordance with
IEEE Std 1012-2004,
which is endorsed by
Regulatory Guide 1.168 Revision

Special Position Requirements:
Update/maintenance of IV&V plans and procedures
Performing criticality analysis for all Safety Integrity Level (SIL) software
Supporting development and review of digital I&C system requirement specifications and statements of work
Reviewing vendor V&V artifacts for acceptance
Participating in risk mitigation activities associated with IV&V projects
Responsibilities:
Updates / maintains IV&V plans and procedures.
Develop a V&V compliance matrix for projects, including projects for international clients.
Supports critical analysis for all Safety Integrity Level (SIL) software.
Supports review of digital I&C system requirements specifications and statements of work.
Supports IV&V vendor acquisition activities and specifies vendor work scope.
Conducts IV&V vendor deliverable acceptance review and provides recommendations.
Supports IV&V management and project teams in risk mitigation, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
Interfaces with development organizations and vendors to get resolutions for IV&V anomaly reports and test incident reports.
