We are searching for the best talent for a Clinical Support Specialist - Joints, to join our team supporting South Netherlands.
Purpose:
In this role, you will provide high-level clinical expertise and on-site operating room support to surgeons and hospital teams specializing in hip, knee, and robotic-assisted joint procedures.
You will ensure safe, effective, and confident use of DePuy Synthes implants and technologies while contributing to education, training, sales growth, and strong long-term customer partnerships.
You will be responsible for:
• Educate, train, and support surgeons, OR staff, and clinical personnel before, during, and after joint replacement surgeries.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of hip, knee, and robotic systems through continuous professional training.
• Provide real-time support in the OR to ensure optimal product usage and surgical workflow.
• Collaborate closely with sales partners to maintain and grow territory performance and revenue.
• Build trusted, long-term relationships with hospital teams through professionalism, empathy, responsiveness, and clinical excellence.
• Understand hospital and clinic workflows, logistics, and constraints to ensure smooth collaboration between the customer and DePuy Synthes.
• Serve as liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring accurate communication, alignment, and customer satisfaction.
• Support logistical coordination of instruments and implants together with internal supply and operations partners.
• Assist in developing educational tools, training programs, and new methods to enhance surgeon and OR team learning.
• Work in close partnership with the Clinical Lead and Sales Consultant, including completing daily reports and documentation.
• Share responsibility for achieving sales targets and may be eligible for a sales-based bonus.
• Act consistently according to the J&J Credo and maintain high ethical standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare, life sciences, nursing, biomedical-related field-or equivalent clinical experience.
• Experience in an OR, clinical, or surgical-support environment (orthopedics experience is a strong advantage).
• Strong understanding of hip, knee, and/or robotic-assisted procedures, or willingness to acquire this expertise quickly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons and OR teams.
• High resilience, customer empathy, and ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced clinical settings.
• Strong sense of urgency, accuracy, responsibility, and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel within the territory.
• Fluency in Dutch; English is preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
