What It's LikeOur Quality Engineering team plays a critical role in delivering reliable, high-quality digital experiences that millions of T-Mobile customers rely on every day. We work closely with engineering and product partners to ensure new features are thoroughly tested, performant, and ready for real-world use at scale. By building strong automation and identifying issues early, the team helps accelerate releases while maintaining customer trust. Our work directly impacts platform stability, user satisfaction, and the overall success of T-Mobile's customer-facing applications.
What You'll DoAs a Quality Engineering Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience contributing to real production systems throughout the summer. You'll write and maintain automated end-to-end UI tests using Cypress and TypeScript for modern web applications, as well as develop automated API tests to validate backend services and integrations. You'll collaborate closely with developers and QA engineers to understand new features, reproduce bugs, and ensure critical user flows are well covered. Your work will help improve test reliability, increase automation coverage, and support faster, higher-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities- Build automated UI test cases using Cypress and TypeScript to validate user workflows, edge cases, and regression scenarios
- Create and maintain automated API test suites to verify request/response behavior, status codes, and data accuracy
- Debug failing tests, investigate defects, and document issues with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence
- Maintain and refactor existing test code to keep the automation suite stable, readable, and scalable
- Support test execution within CI/CD pipelines, review test results, and help reduce flaky tests
What It Takes- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Basic programming experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Understanding of web applications and how front-end and back-end systems interact
- Strong attention to detail with a curiosity for edge cases and unexpected behaviors
- Ability to clearly communicate bugs, test results, and technical findings
- Eagerness to learn test automation, software quality best practices, and modern development workflows
Minimum Qualifications - At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program
- Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships

Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
Intern wages range from $26/hour to $47/hour. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on education/STEM vs non-STEM designation.
