Job Summary
The Associate General Counsel in the Finance, Athletics and Beyond Blue legal group provides legal and compliance advice and support to senior management in the University and its affiliated corporations (including Beyond Blue and Champions Blue) in the following areas: Athletics, Procurement, University Financial Services, Employee Benefits, Facilities, Information Technology, Housing, Institutional Risk Management, Budget, Public Safety, Internal Audit, and any other University or affiliated corporation office purchasing goods or services with University/affiliated corporation funds. Legal support includes preparation and review of employment contracts, name/image/likeness agreements, licensing agreements, purchase agreements, real estate agreements and construction agreements. This position also provides legal advice and policy guidance (where appropriate) related to design and implementation of contracting and risk mitigation strategies, as well as advice on public-private partnerships and economic development initiatives.
