About the Role:
As the Schedule Planning Manager you are responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining JSX's flight schedules to support commercial objectives, operational reliability, and Customer satisfaction. You'll own future and seasonal schedule design, ensure alignment with fleet and crew resources, and partner closely with Revenue Management, Operations, Hospitality, Finance, and Marketing to deliver a schedule that works across the business. This role also plays a critical role in reporting, scenario modeling, and communicating schedule decisions company-wide.
A Day in the Life:
Your day will be analytical and highly collaborative, focused on designing schedules that balance demand, resources, and operational constraints while supporting growth. Additional responsibilities include:
Designing and maintaining future flight schedules 4-12+ months out using route performance data, market trends, and operational constraints. Leading seasonal schedule development aligned with demand patterns, holidays, and event calendars while ensuring aircraft and crew feasibility. Collaborating closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Operations, Hospitality, Crew Scheduling, and Finance to ensure schedules are feasible and strategically aligned. Continuously refining schedules to optimize aircraft utilization, crew efficiency, and network performance. Monitoring schedule performance metrics including block times and on-time performance drivers to identify improvement opportunities. Modeling alternative scheduling scenarios, including new routes, new fleet scenarios, and network growth options. Evaluating opportunities to create new Customer connections between markets JSX does not serve nonstop. Ensuring all schedules meet regulatory requirements and required filings. Generating and distributing schedule reports and analyses for stakeholders across Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Hospitality. Communicating schedule changes, updates, and impacts clearly to internal teams to ensure alignment and readiness. Preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership outlining schedule design decisions, assumptions, and performance.

What Makes a Successful Schedule Planning Manager?
We're looking for someone who is:

Required Experience:
4+ years of experience in airline schedule planning or network planning with a strong emphasis on long-term or seasonal scheduling. Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Transportation, Business, Economics, or a related field. Experience with flight scheduling systems such as Sabre Schedule Manager, NetLine/Sched, or Amadeus.
Preferred Experience:
Master's degree (MBA, Economics, Analytics, or similar).
Skills, Licenses, & Certifications:
Strong understanding of airline economics, scheduling principles, and market dynamics. Strong understanding of airline operations, airport constraints, and regulatory scheduling requirements. Ability to balance commercial and operational priorities when making scheduling decisions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency in Excel; experience with data tools or SQL is a plus.
Pay & Perks:
Compensation is $90,000 to $100,000 annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
