What We Are Looking For: We're seeking an
Accounting Specialist to support the Operations team with day-to-day financial tasks. This role is focused on administrative accounting work, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and project accounting support. What You Will Be Doing: - Embrace, uphold, and live out PSE's core values around People, Problem-Solving, and Progress.
- Perform daily accounting activities including maintaining and verifying financial transaction records.
- Prepare and distribute client invoices according to contract terms.
- Monitor and apply cash receipts and support timely accounts receivable collections.
- Enter accounts payable invoices, employee expense reports and process cash disbursements.
- Maintain W-9 documentation and support year-end 1099 processing.
- Audit financial records and prepare bills to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support project managers with budget tracking and financial reporting.
- Serve as a liaison between project managers, internal teams and clients on project financial matters.
What You Will Need: Education and Experience
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-4 years of accounting or finance experience preferred.
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll or general accounting is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial practices.
- Ability to analyze accounting records and prepare financial statements and reports.
- Knowledge of classifying, recording and summarizing financial data.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Compensation: - Salary Range: $23.00 - $26.00 hourly.
This salary range reflects the anticipated base salary for
two to four years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be placed at a level that is commensurate with the candidate's relevant years of experience, education, and technical expertise.
