The Claims Processing Center - Claims Customer Service Center has an immediate opening for a Customer Service Specialist at the Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster level. This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated individual with strong analytical and communication skills to serve as a lead in support of optimal customer service efficiency and effectiveness. Currently this position is a work from home position, which requires fast and reliable internet in order to access State Fund's network and applications. The position may be transitioned to the office if the internet speed cannot support working from home.
The following is a brief outline of the duties of the Customer Service Specialist as envisioned by the management team:
- Provide guidance to the front line staff as a specialist to include the handling of escalated calls and timely responding to written customer inquiries with complete and accurate information related to current workers compensation policies
- Support business partners to ensure high quality service/product is delivered accurately and efficiently
- Independently identify training opportunities to identify trends/gaps for training and make recommendations for refresher training topics to leadership
- Lead and participate on committees and project teams; Prepare project reports, job aids, reference materials, distribute memos and communications
- Assist with intra-day management when necessary
- Assume the duties of the Workers' Compensation Insurance Technician when necessary

Working Conditions The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
Selected candidate(s) hired may be required to attend in-person Onboarding at our Vacaville office with expenses for attendance paid by State Fund.
