We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a
Staff Accounts Payable Coordinator 1 to work as support staff in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join the company and get involved in a variety of projects. This is a
full-time, hybrid position located in our
Burlington, MA office.
In this role you will focus primarily on accounts payable functions, supporting the basics of accounting under the direction and supervision of senior staff. This entry-level position emphasizes learning core AP and accounting tasks, gaining experience with accounting software, and applying standard practices. You will be expected to maintain confidentiality, support colleagues and clients with a positive, collaborative spirit, and actively develop your communication and technical skills in a team-oriented environment.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:- Monitor the AP mailbox and respond appropriately to vendors; distribute invoices among the AP team.
- Monitor the travel mailbox and assist in saving receipts for travel expense processing.
- Process vendor invoices accurately using the correct project code and category and provide back-up for others as needed.
- Respond to vendor and internal staff inquiries daily with a strong customer service focus.
- Assist with employee expense review to ensure correct categories and proper back-up are provided.
- Review statements and follow up with vendors to ensure all invoices are accounted for.
- Set up vendors in the system and follow up regarding vendor W-9 & ACH forms.
- Assist with weekly payment runs and small projects in the AP department.
- Develop understanding of tasks, applicable software programs and related computer skills.
- Maintain a positive and helpful attitude towards staff needing assistance and internal/external clients.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:- Experience in accounts payable and vendor management.
- Experience navigating/using Deltek Vantagepoint or similar accounting software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and be a team player with an eye for details.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field, or equivalent applicable experience.
- Must have strong written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
- 0 - 1+ years' experience in accounting or a related role.
The salary range for this position in
Burlington, MA is $28.00 - $33.00 hourly. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market.
