We're seeking a Manager, Financial Analysis & Strategy to join our G&A organization, reporting directly to the Director of G&A Finance & Strategy. In this role, you'll play a key part in driving critical initiatives-including G&A consolidation, office of the CEO expense oversight, and strategic Finance Shared Services partnerships-while acting as the main financial connection between the office of the COO, Transformation Team, and Corporate Finance. You'll be instrumental in helping steer change and transformation across Zendesk as the team embarks on high-impact organizational projects.
What you'll be doing- Partner with the Strategy, Planning & Transformation Team leadership in driving key transformation initiatives, delivering clear financial insights that shape decision-making.
- Build and maintain robust financial models to support scenario planning and business case development for organizational transformation projects.
- Act as the primary finance liaison for G&A consolidation efforts, collaborating closely with Corporate Finance to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and process efficiency.
- Oversee and manage tracking, analysis, and reporting of Office of the CEO and Office of Transformation expenses, providing regular insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Serve as the go-to financial lead for Finance Shared Services partnerships, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maximize value and ensure strategic alignment.
- Support and advance Finance AI initiatives to enhance productivity, drive automation, and enable process optimization across the Finance organization by partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Prepare presentations and communicate critical financial updates to executives and cross-functional partners, translating complex analyses into actionable guidance.
- Lead month-end closing, forecasting, and budgeting processes for G&A and transformation-related initiatives, ensuring timeliness and data integrity.
- Drive continuous process improvements by identifying opportunities, implementing best practices, and mentoring junior analysts supporting the team.
What you bring to the role:- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with expertise in MS Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides), and a passion for coaching others.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, collaborating effectively across matrixed teams.
- Proactive ownership of projects, including the ability to identify risks, create solutions, and communicate progress or escalations as needed.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with a knack for distilling complex financial information into clear, compelling narratives for a range of audiences.
- Strong partnership and influencing skills, with success supporting cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Proven experience driving process improvements and mentoring junior team members.
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, ideally within G&A or transformation-focused roles.
- Advanced proficiency with financial modeling and reporting tools (Excel, Google Sheets).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams and partnering with leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:- MBA or advanced degree in a related discipline.
- Prior experience supporting organizational transformation, G&A functions, or corporate consolidation projects.
- Experience with strategic partnerships and managing executive-level budgets.
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating in environments with evolving priorities.
- Proven ability to proactively drive initiatives forward, even when processes or guidelines are not fully defined.
The US annualized base salary range for this position is $118,000.00-$176,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
