Position SummaryThe Senior Video Conferencing Engineer is a critical technical leader responsible for ensuring seamless video collaboration and communication experiences across the organization's US operations. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with high-visibility event management, serving as the primary technical resource for video conferencing infrastructure while directly supporting executive town hall and meeting events.
The position encompasses two core areas of responsibility: first, providing expert-level support, maintenance, and optimization of video conferencing systems and equipment deployed across all US business locations, while collaborating with European counterparts to ensure consistent global standards and support coverage; and second, serving as the technical lead for corporate townhall events, including on-site technical setup, production support, and troubleshooting at remote office locations where executive leadership conducts employee communications.
This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, customer service excellence, and operational flexibility, including regular travel to support executive events. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted technical advisor to both end-users and senior leadership, ensuring that video communication technology enhances business operations and enables effective organizational communication.
Duties and Responsibilities- Video Conferencing Systems Support and Administration: Provide expert-level technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom-enabled conference room systems across all US business locations. Monitor system performance, resolve technical issues, manage firmware updates, and ensure optimal functionality of all video collaboration endpoints and infrastructure.
- Executive Townhall Event Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute technical production for corporate townhall events, including on-site setup, audio/visual support, live streaming, and real-time troubleshooting. Travel to remote office locations to provide hands-on technical support for executive-led employee communication events.
- User Training and Adoption Support: Deliver technical training and guidance to end-users on video conferencing best practices, room system functionality, and collaboration tools. Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues and provide white-glove support to executive and senior leadership users.
- System Design and Standards Development: Design, implement, and maintain video conferencing room standards and configurations that align with organizational needs and industry best practices. Collaborate with the Europe video conferencing team to ensure consistency in global deployment standards, support procedures, and technology roadmaps.
- Infrastructure Monitoring and Optimization: Proactively monitor video conferencing infrastructure health, usage analytics, and service quality metrics to identify and resolve performance issues. Manage vendor relationships, coordinate maintenance windows, and implement continuous improvements to enhance system reliability and user experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Video Conferencing Technology Expertise: Advanced technical knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms architecture, administration, and troubleshooting, including Teams Admin Center, device management, and peripheral integration. Working knowledge of Zoom Rooms configuration, unified communications platforms, and enterprise video collaboration ecosystems.
Audio-Visual and Event Production Skills: Proficiency in professional audio-visual equipment setup, live event production, streaming technologies, and broadcast-quality video delivery. - Ability to manage complex multi-site events with camera systems, microphones, mixing boards, and presentation switching equipment.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong troubleshooting methodology with ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure, particularly during high-visibility executive events. Capability to analyze system logs, performance metrics, and user feedback to implement proactive solutions. - Communication and Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including executive leadership. Proven ability to remain calm and professional during critical situations while delivering white-glove support to all organizational levels.
- Project Management and Organizational Skills: Strong planning and coordination abilities to manage multiple concurrent priorities, schedule maintenance windows, and coordinate complex event logistics. Flexibility to travel on short notice and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining high service standards.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
