Position Title: Maintenance Manager
Description
Primary Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, safety, ISO and company-wide safe practices; work with EHS Coordinator to ensure policies and procedures are in adherence with state regulations
- Effectively lead and direct maintenance and EHS staff in their roles and responsibilities to meet company objectives in safety, quality, cost and customer service
- Provide leadership in implementing and maintaining preventive, predictive, corrective and emergent maintenance programs to ensure property, infrastructure and facility equipment capabilities are maximized while reducing unplanned down time
- Evaluate and develop core competencies of Maintenance staff by providing developmental opportunities while leading and coaching in a positive manner
- Confers with Maintenance staff in a manner that demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, active listening, attentiveness and emotional awareness
- Forecast and manage maintenance costs and expenses within the budgetary guidelines, including justifying capital expenditures outside of assigned budget
- Monitor, analyze and report on key performance metrics for department
- Help provide a clean and safe work environment for Durcon
- Ensure facility related task are accomplished
- Conduct economic and feasibility analyses for new equipment and/or modification of existing equipment, systems or other assets; implement projects for attainment, including defining the project scope, activities, resources, milestones, staff requirements, etc.
- Plans and directs activities related to design, modification and maintenance of equipment
- Ensure that OSHA standards are maintained and all employees work in a safe environment regarding operating equipment and other assets; ensure that maintenance operations concur with ISO 9000 quality systems
Qualifications/Requirements: - 5-7 years Management experience in a manufacturing environment focused on process improvement
- Demonstrated understanding of maintenance productivity and budget metrics
- Strong hands-on mechanical, troubleshooting, electrical and pneumatic ability
- Demonstrated team-building, coaching and motivational skills to ensure team alignment and unity
- Effective communication that ensures accessibility and presence to team members and internal/external customers and key stake holders
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of management/personnel, fostering an effective and cohesive management and teambuilding culture
- Proven project management skills and experience
- Strong organizational agility with a solid understanding of how organizations work and is able to accomplish goals through formal and informal channels and resources
- Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and other enterprise software for purchasing and maintenance management
- Previous experience working with machine PLCs and CNCs required
- Previous experience with heavy industrial plant maintenance including hydraulics, pumps, electrical and PLC logic and troubleshooting strongly preferred.
Educational/Training/ Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent technical, engineering or maintenance job related experience
- Six-plus years experience in industrial maintenance in an equipment intensive manufacturing environment with proven demonstration of both electrical and mechanical discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge of EHS compliance, regulations and standards
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs. occasionally
- Stand, stoop, kneel or bend occasionally
- Exposure to moderately loud noise level
