About the Position
The Packaging Specialist role is an entry-level development position designed for individuals eager to build a career in packaging sales and ultimately grow into an Account Manager role. If you are motivated, adaptable, and ready to learn, this is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience in client success and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Retention & Growth: Build strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Sales Development: Generate new business through cold calling, prospecting, and networking.
- Client Engagement: Travel daily to visit clients, distributors, and prospects at fulfillment centers and distribution warehouses.
- Market Expertise: Stay informed on industry trends and product innovations to identify growth opportunities.
- Achieve Results: Meet and exceed sales targets through upselling, cross-selling, and new account acquisition.
- Collaborate: Partner with internal teams to deliver best-in-class solutions.
- Report & Analyze: Track visits, performance, and market insights for leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Business, or related technical field preferred.
- Open to recent graduates and entry-level candidates; 1-3 years of experience (including internships and co-ops) in sales, packaging, or technical B2B environments is a plus.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to business development.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Experience with cold calling and lead generation is a plus.
- Willingness to travel frequently (25-50%) and relocate for future Account Manager opportunities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., C4C, Salesforce).
