Position Summary:
Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for the preparation compounded sterile products using and related activities under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy. Assists in the supervision of IV technicians, interns and other support personnel.
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
- Adheres to all policies and procedures
- Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique and CAPS Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensures pharmacy compliance with rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy and other regulating agencies.
- Reviews orders and prescriptions for admixing and dispensing.
- Resolves order discrepancies and problems with customer pharmacy personnel. Provides after hour On Call coverage as needed.
- Participates in CAPS Continuous Quality Improvement Program and performs Quality Control functions as assigned.
- Assists in successful pharmacy operation: troubleshooting equipment problems, ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
- Maintains positive customer relationships.
- May supervise IV Technicians and interns; reviews works for accuracy while ensuring compliance with CAPS SOPs.

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or PharmD required.
- 04-06 years related experience required.
- Applicable industry/professional certification required.
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed, On-call hours as needed, Valid Pharmacist license
Schedule is 4x10: work from 8:30am 7pm with weekend rotations; holiday/overtime as needed
Salary range is $114,778.41 - $137,696/yr

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
