Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Litigation Attorney, you will be expected to:
1. Manage all phases of civil litigation from initiation to trial, including drafting pleadings, discovery, pre-trial motions, and briefs.
2. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
3. Provide legal advice to clients and advise on potential litigation risks and strategies.
4. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
5. Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to ensure effective case management.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles.
7. Develop relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates and ensuring their needs are met.
8. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients where appropriate.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation.
4. Proven experience in managing a diverse caseload.
5. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
6. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
9. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
10. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
