As a Lead Techin Blood componentsmanufacturing,youare responsibleformanufacturing andprocessing blood products after the units have been received from the donors. This will involvescanning inthe units of blood, processing the units into transfusable components, (red cells, platelets, and expressing plasma)andleukoreducingred blood cells.
As a Red Cross Team member, you will take care of your team members - show up for every shift and give 100% whileyou'rethere. Interact in a positive, proactive, and customer-focused manner with both internal and external customers,demonstratingcare and compassion at all times.

Perform data entry andoperatethe computer programs associated withcomponentproduction, labeling, storage, and sample tube management.
Perform complex manufacturing tasks such as pooled product manufacturing, freeze, wash, ordeglycerolizing ofblood products, and pathogen reduction.

Standard Schedule: This is a second shift position working 4pm-12am Tuesday through Saturday, with rotating Sundays.
Pay Information:The pay rate is $22 per hour. There is a shift differential of $2.25 per hour for second shift.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Good computer skills, ability to use a wide variety of programs and laboratory equipment,attention to detail,accuratedocumentation, and good decision-making skills.
WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE:
Frequently lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs unassisted. Frequently required to push carts weighing up to 100 pounds on flat flooring or ramps. Able to withstand temperatures in a typical blood banking environment including refrigerators and freezers. Position may require climbing of step ladders.
