Job DetailsWe are seeking an Electrical Project Manager with a background in managing industrial manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, contract management, customer-facing tasks, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and budgeting. With over 5 years of experience in the field, the candidate will be adept at coordinating all project aspects, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget while meeting high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation, ensuring that all project goals are met.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Review and interpret project plans and specifications to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks, including identifying potential issues, implementing solutions, and escalating unresolved issues.
- Develop and manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication throughout project development.
- Ensure that all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to stakeholders, providing accurate and timely updates.
- Conduct project review and create detailed reports for organizational use.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Project Manager in the construction industry, with at least 2 years of experience working on manufacturing facilities projects.
- Proven experience in contract management, customer-facing tasks, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and budgeting.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software tools.
- PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
- Willingness to travel as required.
