Job Summary
The Specialist, Solution and System Integration is responsible for ensuring successful deployment of advanced infrastructure, telecom, Industrial IoT, software development, application, and technology solutions, systems and services. The Specialist ensures that all business requirements are met by team members and projects, and contributes to the global evolution of CN's I&T. The role collaborates with stakeholders and partners to design solutions that improve quality, velocity, operations, and safety.
Main Responsibilities
• Plan and test the functionality and nonfunctional aspects under development
• Employ test-driven development and DevOps processes like Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and automation
• Strategize and Implement Test Automation/Optimization towards faster and accurate outcomes
• Collaborate with stakeholders and Business Analyst to gather requirements and design solutions
• Develop automation scripts/framework on Automation tools/Scripting tools
• Build process and documentation
• Be able to build solutions with the cloud platform and DevOps marketplace.
• Evolve and build best practice materials for Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration Management
• Participate in code reviews as well as provide technical guidance
• Leverage data analysis techniques to derive insights that guide solution design and continuous improvement
Working Conditions
The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The role requires minimal travel (10%) within Canada and the United States (U.S.). Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress.

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience developing complex web and mobile applications
o Experience integrating and implementing mapping, Graphic Information System (GIS) capabilities and APIs
o Experience with geospatial data formats and protocols like GeoJSON, Web Feature Service (WFS), and Web Mapping Service (WMS)
o Demonstrated experience developing and consuming REST APIs
Education/Certification/Designation
• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Science, related degree, equivalent experience, or a related field

• Knowledge of geospatial data formats, standards, and protocols
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts (OOP), design patterns, and architecture best practices
• Back-end expertise with languages like Java, PHP, Python or C#
• Experience with graph algorithms, modelling, and visualization
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies including CI, CD, testing, and monitoring
• Ability to develop offline-capable applications with synchronization
