Job Summary
This position is currently remote with occasional in-person meetings in Frankfort, KY.
The College of Public Health's Public Health Analytics and Informatics unit is seeking a Data Management Specialist to join the team. This hybrid position is located in Frankfort, Kentucky, and will be working on the Department of Medicaid Services contract with the State of Kentucky.
This position will develop efficient and reusable SQL code meant for improvement, manipulation, and analysis of data. Performs data conversions from several data sources, writes code, identifies relevant trends, prepares reports & visualizations, and develops dashboards. The person in this position will work alongside senior database analysts and statisticians to analyze data.
We are looking for someone who is ready to learn and willing to advance within the team.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Prior healthcare and data mining/modeling experience. Development and management skills. Working knowledge of Tableau, T-SQL and PL/SQL. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Python, R, and R Shiny experience a plus.
