NFPA is looking to add a Membership Committee Lead to the Standard Administration team! This role performs all customer support, project management, and administrative activities relating to matters of NFPA's technical committee volunteer members: including recruitment, application support and assistance, recognition of outstanding committee members, and actions at committee member tenure conclusion.
Key Responsibilities - Manage the committee member applications process and all activities relating to appointment/non-reappointment for committee membership for the Standards Council's approval, as well as maintains Board of Directors membership documentation.
- Maintain a committee membership database (applications, tracking, communications, resignations, changes of employment, changes of address, etc).
- Assists committee members regarding membership information and archives documentation supporting such
- Manages all matters relating to committees (i.e. tenure of Chairs, declared structures, establishment of new committee information/files, multi-representation confirmation, etc.)
- Support the onboarding of newly appointed committee members on an annually scheduled basis
- Develop custom committee membership reports
- Resolve member questions and concerns through professional engagement, prompt responsiveness, and creative problem solving
- Assist in the writing, design, and production of committee member recruiting and retention educational/marketing materials
- Coordinates recognition of committee members, including selection, acquisition and preparation of presentation for Annual Awards extended by the Standards Council to be presented at Annual Meeting
- Recruitment and retention of committee members to support strategic goals (e.g. increasing alternate membership representation, enforcer engagement, international committee members)
- Segmentation and personalization: champion data-driven segmentation and help design personalized committee member journeys that increase relevance, satisfaction, and long-term participation (including committee member led mentoring opportunities and strategies)

Requirements:
- Have 5-10 years of proven proactive and responsive member/customer support and problem resolution, including extensive experience in workflow management and application processing is vital to success.
- Extensive experience independently managing detailed processes and workflows, including the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
- Experience in organizational membership management preferred
- Strong coordination, writing, and diplomacy skills for internal and external contacts essential, including, demonstrated professional communications (verbal and written)
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Easily transition through interruptions and shifts in priorities
- Database establishment and maintenance preferred.
- Familiarity or mastery of FileMaker, Manage, and NetSuite preferred.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by many factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training NFPA is proud to offer competitive compensation and comprehensive, best-in-class benefits.
